ACCOUNTING MYTH No. 1- Kailangan ng CPA para maging Accounting Clerk

ACCOUNTING MYTH No. 1...
Kailangan ng CPA para maging accounting clerk.

Many taxpayers and businesspeople completely rely on their CPAs or accounting personnel to do their tax returns and the accompanying reports thereto.

They reason out that they are dummies as far as accounting and taxation are concerned.

Taxation and accounting are two separate and distinct topics and issues. Although, they may have intertwined relationship but in reality, the latter is just a PRINCIPLE while the former is a LAW OF THE STATE. In other words, the language of the former shall prevail over the latter.

Contrary to the belief and understanding of many taxpayers and businesspeople, the violation of any accounting principle would not persuade a judge to issue a warrant of arrest to any taxpayer or businessperson while to violate the tax laws of the State, Kim, the BIR Commissioner, would be there to charge the offender a tax evasion sheet.

Accounting is a universal language that to learn it is an elective thing while Taxation is a law of the State.

While we were still sitting on our universities and colleges' chairs, we learned from our 'Obligations and Contracts' subject that an obligation is derived from law.

Nobody can outrun taxation because it is an obligation which all of us must extinguish in precise and timely manner. The benefit of doing so is astounding that is to avoid a public humiliation through criminal prosecution. Meaning, to have freedom or to live outside a jail and have a total peace of mind are two top interests and intentions of many of us.

If you are a taxpayer or a business person, knowing an accounting equation must come naturally while complying with taxation rules and regulations must be deliberately planned and performed.

The myth that you need a CPA or an accounting clerk to do what taxation had already imposed on you is dangerous. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO DO IT FIRST BEFORE YOU ASK SOMEONE TO DO IT FOR YOU.
