Yesterday, a taxpayer showed me a letter from one of the Chiefs Legal Division stating that his representatives were reported to the PNP to have been withdrawing documents that were already been submitted to the former's office. As this CLD stated, the scenario of stealing the documents were documented by a CCTV.
Furious, fed-up and stressed-out employees who allegedly stole the documents from the office of this CLD confronted him by way of asking to show the footage of the said CCTV.
However, this CLD deliberately failed/refused to present the said footage.
MORAL LESSON.
On the part of the taxpayer.. If the documents are already in the possession of any revenue officer and there is a need to get something therefrom, ASK FIRST FOR THE PERMISSION TO GET THE SAID SOMETHING AND REQUEST THAT THE SAID REVENUE OFFICE TO ACCOMPANY YOU BEFORE GETTING NEARER TO THE SAID SOMETHING.
On the part of the revenue officer ... Don't bully anybody. Don't tell a lie to anyone. Don't legally threaten somebody. Because you may be criminally and administratively charge with felony.
